Top Athlete for June:

I'm a former Marine that lives by the Marine Corps core values: HONOR, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT. Those three very important core values have helped me succeed both in life and in the field of athletics. Currently I'm a running and triathlon coach, with several CrossFit certifications, a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, POSE Running Level I certified instructor, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting certification and Gymnastics certification.
My most recent athletic achievement was winning the 2008 Duathlon Multi-Race Series (35-39 age group division). This is the third year in a row that I have finished within the top 5.
As your coach, I promise to honor my profession by always being truthful, respectful, and providing you with the latest, most up to date fitness advice available. I promise to have the courage to always do what is right. And I promise to be 100% committed to your success and to provide you with the best support possible!
Lastly, I strongly believe and teach that the ultimate in fitness is the greatest glory one could achieve in life and that with courage, honor, and commitment there is no way you can't achieve glory.
A native South Floridian and always dedicated to my health and fitness. My father started my leap into exercising back in the 9th grade where he was able to get my high school to allow me to take weight training all four years instead of the two years other students were capped at. Also, I was the kid on the street with a complete at home gym and my friends and I would always challenge each other on who was stronger.
After my high school days I continued to body build and train with professional body builders. My belief is that an individual can be successful with a fitness program if they dedicate and commit themselves to lifestyle habits of proper nutrition, consistent training, and an exercise program that is constantly varied and challenging.
CrossFit is challenging mentally and physically but the results are seen within my triathlon competitions and body composition. As your coach I'm committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals thru proper nutrition and the CrossFit methodology. I look forward to working with you and we are always looking for individuals to come play in our box.
Current certifications include: CrossFit level 1, CrossFit Nutrition, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting, and Gymnastics.
Bryan David's passion for health and fitness was uncovered at the early age of 13 when he started playing football and competing in Duathlons. To train for these to completely different disciplines, Bryan David took up crossfit. Throughout his early teens, Bryan excelled on the athletic field, finishing in the top three of his age group in every duathlon he entered. In High School, Bryan lettered in three sports, track & field, wrestling, and football. Through his disciplined nature, hard work, and undying dedication, he has built a pristine name for himself on and off the athletic field. Bryan is a certified Level 1 CrossFit instructor, CrossFti Olympic Weightlifting iinstructor and is currently enrolled in FAU's Sport Medicine program.
Although young, Bryan has developed a vast knowledge and experience in strength training and conditioning. He's motivational skills set him aside from all of the rest. He applies his expertise and motivation into the training of his clients.
As a competitive Triathlete/Duathlete, I initially turned to CrossFit to improve my strength and become a more powerful competitor. CrossFit has given me the edge in competition I was looking for and so much more. I have been finishing consistently at the top of my age group and recently qualified for the ITU Duathlon World Championships to represent Team USA. I am a certified Level 1 CrossFit instructor and a triathlon coach.
CrossFit has enabled me to compete at a higher level but is has also changed the way I view fitness, health, and training altogether. I am not just training for endurance events any more, I am training for the single most important challenge that unites us all: life. The diversity and intensity of CrossFit training has given me the confidence I need to take on the endless variety of challenges that life throws my way. I have realized that the obstacles I face in life and in training are not road-blocks, they are opportunities for growth and success.
As an athlete, Crossfit has helped me exceed my own performance expectations. As a Coach, I promise to help you exceed yours. As a member of SFCF you are part of a constantly growing, supportive community of athletes. Here you will find a perfect balance of comradery and competition that that will challenge and encourage you to be your best inside and outside the gym.
I am a professional Lieutenant Firefighter/Paramedic, as well as a SWAT Medic here in South Florida. By using the word PROFESSIONAL I mean I have dedicated my entire career to preparing myself both emotionally and physical for the demands of the job. I have a passion for both my professions, which are intertwined with common themes, helping those in need and being in the best physical condition to meet whatever life throws at me on life’s terms. My passion and intensity for the above led me to CrossFit, and now I am equally as passionate and intense about CrossFit. I currently have several CrossFit certifications and will be a CrossFitter my entire healthy life.
CrossFit has given so much to me I can only show my appreciation to the movement by giving it to others as intense as it was given to me. As your Coach I promise to always stay the course and never deviate from the CrossFit Way. I promise to call BS, yes no excuses, no mini pushups, or mini squats. I promise to introduce to my friends Burpees, Thrusters, Fran, Cindy and Angie to name a few. I promise to keep track of your performance by counting rounds, or by your time on my watch. Then challenge you to beat your own time.
Finally I believe that mental fitness and physical fitness go hand and hand. I also believe in the CrossFit community, and together we can accomplish our goals to help others.
